I joined SGPT to initially improve my technique and to take it back to basics. I wanted to drop a little bit of weight but mainly make sure I was fuelling my body the right way with the right foods.
Laura has been such an amazing coach taking the time to explain every move (with hilarious comparisons) and teaching us the correct techniques and positions to get the best results.
She will push you when needed but also understanding when you are having a week that you just need either leeway or extra support. If you have a social she won’t say no, but helps you build it in so then you can enjoy those meal/nights out.
Stepping into a gym like this can be so overwhelming and daunting from the outside but as soon as you get in there everyone makes you feel so welcome. The classes vary each week and push you well beyond your limits and the coaches always support you and help if you need it. The community here is unreal and you end up making so many friends with different people! Couldn’t recommend enough!!
Having the energy to go to the gym, go to work and also have the energy to invest into my kids, play football with them, go on runs. It's been a massive change. The SGPT has changed my life.

The energy it has given me from the SGPT sessions is next level - I was feeling a bit stuck and i wanted to take it a step further. I feel getting up in the morning now is no issue, i am still fresh for work and i have loads of energy to do everything I want outside of the gym as well.
The hybrid centre is something different, it’s a community, it’s a confidence builder, it’s a solution to metal blocks, it’s an eye opener. In the 3 weeks I have been going I have met new friends, feel unbelievably good EVERY morning, have better sleep, more focused at work, have a more welcoming view of the world- the list goes on its just on a different level. The coaches and all the members are extremely encouraging and make you feel welcome which can be one of the biggest barriers for someone who wants to get healthy, as it was for me - best decision I have made and genuinely can’t get enough of the place 11/10💪🏻
Laura quickly got to know what exercise I enjoyed and included it all in my training making it enjoyable to stick to, along with a meal plan & sharing good recipes to stay on track with! I have managed to lose the weight I wanted and keep it off while being set new goals to stay motivated. Not only has the personal training helped me get the results I wanted but iv built more confidence to try new things & having someone to push me out of my comfort zone whilst being the biggest cheerleader has really helped!
Training with Laura at HPC is just amazing. I was so nervous to start after being out of the gym for a while, but there was absolutely no need to be nervous, people couldnt have been more friendly to me and i was made to feel at ease instantly😊 Laura is an amazing motivator and an amazing person too. She goes above and beyond for us all in our group and perfects the balance between encouraging and also knowing when you need to take things a little easier. Laura is extremely understanding and takes time to understand each of us individually and holistically, which is something I've not had in a programme like this before. Alongside all of the above, I feel my mental health has improved greatly, my mood and levels of motivation have completely improved and I really look forward to training sessions. I can see big improvments to my physique and most of all I have made friends in the group which has been the best part, as I am quite new to the area so it's also like a social group for me. If you are thinking about joining, just give it a try. You won't regret it
Being part of a group session has helped me realise just how strong and capable I am. The women in the group are amazing—we support and motivate each other every single session. We’ve built such a positive and empowering community that we even attend fitness classes together outside of PT, something I never would have had the confidence to do before!
